Just like humans, dogs also need someone who can be there with them all the time. They also need a best friend who is completely just like them. So when they lose their bestie, it’s not an easy phase for them. Doggos also miss their friends and it affects them deeply.
A family in Michigan has a dog named Cash, who was a 12-year old Golden Retriever. They used to have two dogs, but Cash’s companion passed away a few years ago. The two used to be inseparable and were always having fun all the time.
So when Cash lost his best friend, the family noticed that he wasn’t like his usual self. The grief took over the poor doggo and left him sad for a long time. Cash’s hoomans did everything they could to keep the pooch happy but nothing seemed to be able to lift his spirits up.
Until the family had an idea that might work. Just in time for Christmas, the family adopted a Golden Retriever pup and had placed him in the box. Cash’s hooman dad walked in the door and brought their Christmas present for him.
As he laid the box down on the floor, Cash couldn’t contain his excitement to see what was inside. Until a little pupper popped the lid wide open, revealing himself to Cash. The doggo was so happy to see a puppy that looked just like him.
Cash was jumping up and down, wagging his tail as he sniffed the new doggo. He easily warmed up to the pup and seemed very excited to meet him. Finally, Cash has a new best friend that he could play, run, or cuddle with all the time.
It was a heartwarming sight to see Cash loving his new sibling. After all the things the family tried to cheer him up, bringing home a new puppy seemed to have done the trick. Cash and his new brother would have a lot of adventures to come in the future.
