How Did Doug The Pug Become The King Of Pop Culture

How Did Doug The Pug Become The King Of Pop Culture

Scott Fannin August 3, 2020

Doug the Pug is a celebrity dog of Nashville, Tennessee, who has a massive social media following online. His more than 4 million followers and celebrity friends on Instagram wouldn’t deny how cute and fancy this dog is.

Leslie Mosier, his human parent, worked as a freelancer in Nashville. She made accounts on Instagram both for Doug and herself. It wasn’t long, though, until she noticed that her dog, Doug, is gaining more followers and hearts than her account. She later decided to manage Doug the Pug’s Instagram full time to keep all his fans updated and entertained.

Among his many cool achievements is a music video with Fall out Boy’s for “Irresistible.” Not only that, but many celebrities also line up for a picture with our dogs like the casts of Stranger Things and Riverdale. Nothing is fancier than Doug the Pug.

Behind the scenes, Leslie works hard to show the world how adorable and fancy Doug is. Her creative and witty posts never fail to capture hearts and spread positivity.

Leslie was overwhelmed with all the love and positive vibes they’ve received from all of Doug’s fans. She usually responds to each one and considers them in creating new outfits for Doug to wear. Each Doug the pug post often gains a thousand likes and shares within a few minutes from posting.

Leslie chose Instagram for Doug simply because she considers it a medium to relate with creative people such as herself. Posting images twice a day and videos twice a week is her content strategy. She makes sure that it is certainly relatable to the trend, and of course, Doug has to shine bright.

Leslie carefully conceptualises each caption to make sure it is as catchy and entertaining as possible. Last 2016, Doug the Pug released the bestselling book called Doug the Pug: The King of Pop Culture with Leslie.

Because of Doug the Pug’s ability to make people happy, in 2019, The Doug the Pug Foundation for children with cancer was founded.
