Dog Hydrotherapy is just one of the services and methods available to treat injuries for dogs. Each breed has varying health concerns and medical needs. Ginger, a chihuahua, was experiencing something that her owner failed to notice.
During a conversation with Jill, the owner, Victoria Stilwell, noticed something odd about Ginger. She seems to be in pain. Jill didn’t think it was anything serious. However, Victoria begged to differ.
Once Jill was convinced that Ginger was in pain, she called her vet. Victoria also talked to the vet on the phone and informed her that she wants to proceed with training Ginger cautiously. After letting Ginger rest, they proceed to the clinic.
Ginger had past surgery involving her knees. That’s why she’s experiencing pain and discomfort. Victoria wants to put her through hydrotherapy to help her heal better. With the approval of the veterinarian, they proceed to the facility.
Ar first, Jill was worried because she knew Ginger doesn’t like to swim. However, she gives it a chance. Ginger was nervous at first and had a tilted angle when she was walking. After a while, the little dog calmed down and started walking in a straight line.
After the small pool, Ginger was brought to the bigger pool. Jill was still worried about her dog. The trainer handled Ginger well. She was given a life vest, and after a few minutes, Ginger was happily paddling through the water. Overall, it was a good therapy experience.
After a few days when Victoria left, Jill didn’t follow up on the water therapy. She had another thing in mind. She brought Ginger to a spa for a massage. This was a bad idea since Ginger didn’t like other people touching her.
Victoria got a call about what’s happening, and she gave Jill a surprise visit. The dog trainer then proceeded to lecture Jill on why she needed to be consistent with dog hydrotherapy. Ginger will undergo another surgery soon, and Jill has to learn how to stop making excuses and just follow the advice.
