Dog Guided Rescuers In The Woods To Save His Owner

Dog Guided Rescuers In The Woods To Save His Owner

Scott Fannin July 5, 2020

It’s incredible to hear stories about dogs saving their owners by seeking help from the rescuers.

Dogs know how to communicate with humans. They have different kinds of barks to convey a message. Their gestures also show what they want to say or show to the people. Dogs are persistent beings until they have been understood.

One dog in Hazle Township, Pennsylvania, saved the life of his owner, who got injured in the woods at Luzerne County.

Guy, the dog, led the rescuers in finding his owner who fell and hit his head while on a hike.

It took three hours for the rescuers to locate the 79-year-old man.

Guy led the emergency responders and rescue team in the woods. The dog barked continuously to tell his owner’s location. When the rescuers are nearing the embankment at Humboldt Industrial Park, Guy left his owner to meet the rescuers.

Guy would run ahead of the rescuers, and after 20-30 feet, he would stop and bark as if he is talking to them. When the rescuers located the older man, Guy would walk side-by-side with his owner. The rescuers are very careful not to trip over the dog. Guy does not want to lose sight of his owner.

The rescuers were amazed at what they saw. The dog is very concerned about his owner. They also can’t believe that a dog would be able to help them locate the injured person. For the rescuers, Guy is the real-life Lassie.

The man has been injured for 12 hours before the rescuers discovered him.

While the man is recovering at the hospital, Guy stayed at one of the members of Hazle Township volunteer fighters. However, the dog can’t eat well because he is worried so much about his owner.

The man would be released from the hospital on Friday. He can’t wait to be reunited with his beloved dog. He is grateful that his dog saved his life.
