One of the most heartwrenching things that can befall any dog owner is knowing that their beloved dogs have gone missing — without a trace.
This scenario gives a lot of emotional weight to the dog owners that are undoubtedly hard to bear, but it’s more challenging to bear for the senior ones. This is what happened to a 93-year-old dog lover (who wished not to be named) who lives in Matlock, Derbyshire.
One day, the lady was devastated to know that her beloved dog, named Toby, a Cavalier King Charles Spaniel, has gone missing. Worried that something terrible might happen to the dog, she immediately contacted the police to ask for assistance. Fortunately, a lady cop has quickly responded to her dilemma and paid her home a visit. She is PC Tammy Wood from the Safer Neighborhood team, and she was more than willing to help the senior lady find her beloved Toby.
The lady had asked for authorities’ help as her family and friends hadn’t any luck finding her missing dog.
PC Wood wants to get to the bottom of this situation, but little did she know that ‘getting to the bottom of the situation’ would be as literal as it sounds.
While PC Wood was doing some investigation in the house to find any clues, the old lady suddenly dropped something on the floor. The police officer immediately helped the lady and bent down and reach the fallen thing for her.
To her surprise, she saw a furry creature beneath the senior lady’s chair. She carefully pulled it out, and the old lady confirmed it. It was her missing dog! He was safe, but he was obviously hungry and thirsty at that time.
The lady was very relieved to see her beloved dog again, and not seeing Toby for two days was like forever for her. On the other hand, PC Wood was touched by their reunion and clearly saw how happy they were to see each other again.
No one has expected that this case would be solved in an unusual way. But the essential thing in this incident was that Toby was finally found, and he could bring companionship to his owner again every single day.
