Life in a temple is very different from city life. The Monks cannot simply indulge in everything they desire. There are compromises and some rules to follow, especially when it comes to food. However, do dogs who live in the temple follow these rules too?
Meet Simdol, a simple dog with a simple life. He lives in the Buddhist temple with monks. They adore him for his gentle demeanor. Even if a cat would pass by, he would only watch but never fully react.
According to one caretaker, Simdol loves boiled potatoes. When the monk offered some, however, he doesn’t seem to be interested. Perhaps he is fasting. But is he really fasting?
Maybe Simdol prefers to eat something else. One afternoon, he suddenly wakes up from a nap and starts heading towards the mountain. The caretaker said Simdol likes to do that from time to time.
When the filming crew followed Simdol, they discovered something very unexpected. It seems like he was living a double life. The reason Simdol wasn’t interested in the boiled potatoes is that he was getting food from somewhere else.
The city was miles away from the temple, yet Simdol managed to go through a shortcut by traversing the mountainside. He then has a few places he visits to get food.
Of course, if the monks saw what Simdol was eating, they would be saddened. Simdol indulges in eating a lot of meat. Store owners give him food because, according to them, he won’t leave unless they give him some.
The monks think Simdol is just taking a simple stroll through the mountains. They have no idea about the double life he is living. One day another shocking news was discovered.
When Simdol came running back to the temple, he had two puppies following him. They look very similar to him. The caretaker is shocked to see this. Does Simdol also have a secret family? How many secrets does this dog have?
