Indy, which is short for Indiana Bones, was adopted by his loving family around nine months ago, and they have loved learning everything about him. Sometimes, he is a calm, sleepy kind of pup, and other times he is a mischievous, energetic one – especially when it comes to sticks.
The dog’s mom, Brooke Ferguson, said he has always loved sticks. He can pick up sticks which are basically logs if they’re just being honest. He definitely has those strong jaws of a beast.
One day, he was just playing outside when he saw a stick and wanted to really claim it as his own. The big problem was that it was a bit out of reach – because it’s actually attached to a tree.
Despite his struggle, he tried and eventually got the stick anyway. He was able to finally grab onto it and pulled and pulled. But unluckily, the stick didn’t budge.

When Indy’s parents first saw him trying so hard to outsmart the tree, they began recording him because it’s just too hilarious. They thought he would get bored and eventually give up. But whenever he is outside, he will instead try and attempt another go to get that stick off the tree. Surprisingly, he has made a little progress.
According to Ferguson, he has tried around six or seven times since then. But they weren’t able to catch it on camera. He’s very persistent. He’s able to take off around 12 inches of one branch. However, that was as far as he had gotten. So, the tree was the reigning champion.
Trying so hard to get the desired stick off the tree has turned out to be one of Indy’s most favorite games. And his loving parents are curious to witness just how victorious he will be as time goes on.
Ferguson said that they are imagining Indy training up for the entire branch with a “Rocky” montage. He will never be defeated.
