Superman, Batman, Wonder Woman, and Super Girl are just some of the heroes we looked up to growing up. We would always keep ourselves updated with the latest news about them. Sometimes, we would even get our parents to buy us costumes so we could look like them.
Suffice to say, our ultimate goal is to meet them someday. This goal doesn’t go away even if we’ve already transitioned to adulthood. We still keep an eye out for opportunities that would allow us to bump into them.
A pleasant disturbance in the Force
Like most of us, a rescue pup from Ecuador had long been wanting to meet Chewbacca, the Wookie from Star Wars. No knows the real reason why he’s a fan of the furry guy. The only assumption they could come up with was that the dog saw him as one of his kind.
Well, meeting Chewbacca will no longer be just a fantasy for the pup. He bumped into the adorable furry guy last October 2019. He was walking with his human friend, Elvis Alcalde, near the University of Azuay when he saw his hero “in the fur.”
The man wearing Chewbacca’s costume was in the area to promote a Halloween party. He was used to seeing all sorts of reactions from passersby. Of all the reactions he got, it was the dog’s that he enjoyed the most. He bent down to give a warm furry hug to his new friend.
A happy ending for the pup
Seeing how happy the dog was meant so much to Alcalde. According to him, the Chewbacca fan used to live on the busy streets of Ecuador. His struggle for survival only came to an end when professors working at the university adopted him and gave him a home. Watch the video to see how the stars aligned for the pup:
