Wherever you are in life, you didn’t get there without any help. We have to admit that challenges become easier when we have some form of support.
This puppy’s lucky to have a strong support unit. She had her hooman mom and her dog brother, Simon. With their help, little Daisy was able to navigate her way down the stairs.
All dogs initially saw the stairs as a major obstacle, and for a puppy doing it for the first time, all sorts of anxious thoughts must have crossed this little one’s mind.
The thought of falling’s probably the most terrifying of them all, so we could understand why Daisy was hesitant to go and give those steps a try.
The pup’s hooman mom encouraged her, and after a bit, brother Simon went up the stairs to show Daisy how it’s done. She bravely tried, but it was too much.
Daisy hopped back up where it was safe, and Simon clearly wanted to take Daisy by his mouth to help her down. Mom was patient with her puppy and kept on encouraging her.
Simon ran up and down the stairs repeatedly, modeling the act. It’s as though he was telling Daisy to put her front paws first, then hind legs next.
Daisy whimpered and almost gave up, but with the kind of support she had, it would be a shame not to try. Despite her fears, the pup gave it a go.
She was in the middle of the stairs on her way down when she froze. Simon was there to help his sister, and with her mom’s encouraging cheers, the pup made it!
Both the hooman and the dogs were so excited. After all, nothing beats the sense of accomplishment that comes after a shared effort and successful execution.
A round of applause to all of you!
