Jessica Grider lives with his two rescue dogs, Clark and Remy. Jessica shared that her black Labradors have been the best of friends for many years, despite their personality differences.
Jessica said that Clark is the more outgoing type of dog, while Remy is the complete opposite. Clark likes meeting new people and being the center of attention, while Remy is always the anxious and shyest one.
Jessica always lets Remy wear his thunder jacket because it helps him calm down, especially when he is anxious. Clark, on the other hand, enjoys being carefree in any situation.
Jessica recently moved into a new house, and something about their newly found place triggered Remy’s anxiety a lot. Jessica noticed Remy looked so frightened of crossing a particular area in their home that leads from one room into another.
Jessica shared that the floors all looked the same to her. However, one flooring looked slicker than the other, and the transition between the two never fails to make him feel extremely anxious.
Jessica tried coaxing Remy to walk across the uneven-looking doorway and helped him feel at home in their new house, but it did not work. Fortunately, Clark knew just what Remy needed and reassured his doggy brother that he is there every step of the way.
Jessica shared that she has seen Clark help Remy move past his anxieties, but she has not had the chance to catch it on camera. Luckily, her phone was in her hand, so she quickly started taking videos of Clark, assisting Remy into the other room.
Jessica shared how heartwarming it was to see Clark helping Remy whenever Remy needed help. Remy eventually managed to conquer his fear of crossing the doorway, and it was all thanks to his doggy best friend.
