In the current gloomy times, any good news is like a silver lining that provides us a much-awaited relief and reaffirms our belief in positivity. One such good news came from a canine’s selfless act. The story took place in Ukraine when a dog put his own life at stake to save the life of his feline friend.
A fire broke in a defense industry company in the city of Donetsk, Ukraine. The fire was followed by a massive explosion that could be heard from even 5 km away from the site. Thick clouds of smoke were spreading everywhere in the sky.
The residents had to leave the area as soon as possible. People were hurrying away from the site holding their precious possessions. Some were holding their pets and running away from the fire-ravaged area. But one pet dog did not seem to be intent on leaving the site.
The canine remained still while everyone was running on the street toward safety. Suddenly, instead of going away from the horrid fire, the dog started running toward a burning house in the area. The owner of the dog stood in a petrified condition while he watched his dog briskly running toward his house that was burning in flames. The owner could not run after the dog because of the blazing fire, so he just waited and hoped that his dog would get back alive.
Suddenly, the owner saw his dog reappearing from the entrance of the house. The dog was not alone and was holding a kitten who belonged to the owner’s family and was left inside the house.
The canine could not leave the kitten alone in the fire because they were best friends and used to be together all the time. The dog decided to put his life at risk to save his friend, but it was certainly worth it.
